Letting Go of the Ties That Bind You.
For my first post, I wanted to revisit one from my first blog back in 2011 which holds true today.

Most of us will ignore the signs. Maybe we don’t want to leave our comfort zone and fear moving forward, so we find ourselves holding back. By doing this, we are not only hindering ourselves but we may also be hindering the person we are with. In realizing this, it may become easier to make the decision to move on. Life has a funny way of working itself out when we listen to what it has to say.
Consider it a selfless act…and you will inevitably create a win-win situation. Your partner will either remain stagnant or they may realize that their inaction is not serving them any purpose and will eventually move forward. You, however, will then continue on your own path and if your paths are meant to cross again, have faith that they will. In the meantime, stay true to yourself by letting go of those ties that bind you. Keep in mind that this could also apply to other situations that are no longer serving you, such as a job or a friendship.
